Oak Freestanding Clothes Rack
Solid Japanese oak, finished with Osmo Polyx matte clear oil-wax. The freestanding form is the leaning rack inverted, with three slats added at the base for shoes and slippers. Same brutalist, simplified intent. Half-lap joinery throughout, visible at every junction.
Standalone. No wall to lean against, no fixings, no drilling. The three base slats turn the lower section into a useful shoe and slipper rack. Suited to a genkan, hallway, or bedroom corner.
The hanging rail sits on two oak dowels, so the whole piece flat-packs for delivery and re-packs if you move house.
Standard width is 800 mm. Wider versions are made on request, with additional intermediate legs added where needed. Ask before ordering.

Care
Wipe with a dry or barely-damp cloth. Re-apply Osmo Polyx matte clear every 1 to 2 years, or sooner if the timber starts to look dry. It goes on with a lint-free cloth in a thin coat and buffs back to a soft sheen. Avoid harsh cleaners and prolonged contact with water.
