Mount Yotei Marquetry Wall Art

A large marquetry wall piece depicting Mount Yotei, made from a carefully selected mix of natural wood veneers.

The artwork is built as a three-panel composition, with the mountain, reflection, sky, and foreground formed using contrasting timber grain, tone, and figure. Rather than printing or staining the image, each section is cut from real wood veneer, allowing the natural character of the material to create the landscape.

The piece is set into a solid oak mitred frame with dark dividing rails, giving the artwork a calm architectural structure. It is designed for chalets, private homes, hotels, restaurants, and interiors connected to Niseko and the wider Hokkaido landscape.

Each piece is made to order in our Niseko workshop. Small variations in grain, colour, and figure should be expected, making every artwork slightly different.
