Settling back into Niseko - House Renovations so far. 27/01/2021
We managed to make it back out to Japan. I feel lucky we were able to do so during the pandemic.
We decided to try and renovate our little house first, before we (hopefully) become busy with work. As we’re expecting baby No.2 in June, we don’t have much time.
I’ll share some before and after pics below of the outside.
We added an extension to the back of the house, added a dormer on the south side, removed all cladding and insulation and installed new windows in new locations. It all had to be done in roughly 3 months before the famous heavy snowfall arrived. We managed just in time.
I have an apprentice working with me and I must give a huge thank you to him for all his effort and the long hours we put in. He had no experience and just the two of us got it all done with no problems. As he learns, he’s filming and we hope to release a lot more videos in the near future.
The main aim of this is the give customers a process video. Of course it would be nice if lots of people like it and view it and that, in turn, we can find new customers this way.
The gallery below shows some before, during and after photos of the renovations so far.
